Hi Everyone

I'm fairly new to this mp3 lark, but i've just bought an mp3 compatable head unit for my car so i am learning quickly!

OK, question. Is there any software which will access the CDDB with an album that has already been ripped to mp3 on my hard drive??

I've checked CDex, Nero and WMP but they only seem to get involved at the pre-rip stage...

Many thanks

Peter

If you have already converted your CDs to mp3 you mean you want to add tag information to the mp3s.

To do this I would recommend either the Godfather

or if you want to spend some money Tag&Rename is also very good.

If the tags have not been added it may take some time to go through the whole process - you may find it just as fast to re-rip them and get the tag info at the ripping stage.

Foobar 2000 will do it. I think the necessary plugin is included with the main distribution. Drag your MP3s into a Foobar playlist, highlight the album, right-click, and, well, I forget the menu option but I think it's obvious when you do it.

You can use Tag&Rename for free for 30 days. You can tag all of your files correctly in that time. T&R is so good you may want to register it, though.
