Hi,
I am trying to use the digital out from my sound card how ever when i configure my sound card/amp to use this then windows media player reports "your sound card may not be working correctley". It all works fine for analog out put its just digital thats the problem. How do i get it to work. If realy necisary i could change player, but i am fond of WMP (sad i know). Im using XP, Windows Media Player 9 M-Audio sonica Theater sound card, ixos spdif cable and denon suround amp. Ive tryed reinstaling everything, short of using a hammer i am lost. Does any one know the solution? Please help.
Isn't the digital out always on? (Do you get red light from the socket?) It normally doesn't have to be configured.
(DD/DTS pass-through is not standard digital out, it's something to do with special efects.)

Sorry forgot to say the sonica card has RCA-to-RCA SPDIF, so no read light, no idea if its on or not. The M-Audio Card has software configuration options for sterio, 5.1, 7.1..... and digital. On all other settings i get no sound atall but WMP works fine, when i switch to digital then WMP thinks the card is not working.
