When reloading info on cue sheets sometimes a mysterious 'CUE' metafield appears containig the whole cue sheet in it.
Is it a 'feature' or a bug? Couldn't find it in foobar2000 preferences, forum and cue.cpp source, too lazy to look in other sources.
Does anyone have the same feature I have?
Arch
Does the field appear on the .cue file itself or on the audio file? I don't think foobar is set up to automatically insert the field into the file, but I may be wrong.
I use embeded cuesheets on albums that get ripped to a single file. That just means that foobar can load the album properly without having to keep a seperate album.cue file in the folder. It also keeps me from getting a copy of the file in my playlist if I load the directory.

It doesn't matter how you store you cue sheet. In my case it is a normal "CDimage.cue" file that points to a compressed Image of Audio CD. When it is added to playlist, 'CUE' metafield appears on every single track.
Here is that cue sheet:

Are you referring to internal cue sheets, stored inside the ape tag, or an external one the points towarsd the file?

Seems that you mean the second, am not entirely sure though, since this behaviour shouldn't be happening then.

I would recommend to enqueue the ape file once without cue sheet, then reload info from file and then make sure there are no cue tags inside the ape file. In case there are, delete the cue tag and reenqueue through the external cue sheet once more. See wether this behaviour still persists.
Moneo
Check if the .ape file contains this CUE tag.

foobar2000 reads metadata not only from the .cue file, but also from the file it references. This is useful for inserting e.g. DATE field, which cannot be stored in the cuesheet.

Thanks picmixer & Moneo,
That was it. The basta was indeed stored inside my ape file. So I had 2 cue files, one external and one inside the music file as a tag. I mean that was a feature biggrin.gif
Now I see what you ment, Arch.
Anyway how do I make foobar2000 to get tracks info from embeded 'CUE' metafield? dry.gif When i add such ape file to a playlist it only shows as a single file.
P.S. Moneo->u can store whatever in it with my cue_ex tongue.gif
