On Frank Klemm's MPC decoder website he also offers an encoder source code for download:
http://www.uni-jena.de/~pfk/mpp/src/mppenc-0.90a.tar.sz.pgp

What is that about? This is not not buschels source code I suppose biggrin.gif But what is it? And what's the pgp extension. Is it encrypted?

PGP stands for Pretty Good Privacy. It's indeed an encryption package. And a very good one at that, so no chance of breaking it smile.gif

Still, why does he put up that file there? Create more mistery before the new name release?

My theory is because of Andree saying that he couldn't access the source code from where he was, or something. smile.gif

Its all very simple really.

Klemm wanted the code.

Andre put it for download.

But because anyone can download it, it has to
be encrypted.

That way only Frank Klemm has the source code
(only he knows the decryption password).

Pretty elementary...

Hmm, some people have known for a while that Frank will have/has the encoder source.
The question is: Why Frank has the source downloadable but encrypted in his site.
I'm sure Andree didn't put it to Frank's site....
tangent
1. It's a teaser
2. Andree uploaded it to Frank's site for Frank to use
3. It's a backup
