I just ripped one song from a music cd to a .wav (using EAC)

Is there a way to tell if the rip is good, I mean no artifacts, no skipping etc.
With out listening to the whole song afterwards.

And verify after I encode it (MP3, OGG, or some other codec) that
it contains no artifacts, skipping, etc.

I'm looking for obvious glitches not subtle differences in quality.

Thanks
Garf
EAC should report after the rip if there were any problems, and offer you to listen to the 'suspect positions'

Try to rip in the secure mode, it's slower than burst but it's more secure.

drive options ==> secure mode : try to disable c2 also

Hope this helps
