While hydrogenaudio.org is resolving just fine, the whole site has been screwy for the past day or so.  Whenever I try to click on a link on the front page to an "active topic," I  get taken right back to the front page.  If I go to the forums index and open a thread, I get taken right back to the front page.  If I attempt to go to the next page in a thread, I get taken right back to the front page, etc., etc.  If I replace the "http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/" part of the URL of a thread/topic with the IP/~hydrogen/ then it works, but of course clicking next or whatever will take me right back to the front page again.

This sounds to me like some sort of browser problem, or something else on your end. At the very least, it's not a server issue considering nothing like this happens on any of the systems I've been browsing from, or from any of the different browsers I've tried (IE, Mozilla/Firefox, Opera, Safari).

What kind of setup are you using? And are you using any sort of weird firewall or other 'protection' program that messes with your browsing session in any way?

I primarily use Mozilla Firefox 0.8 on Windows 2000 Professional, Service Pack 4. I also tried Internet Explorer 6, and I experienced the exact same problem. I use a D-Link router and Sygate Personal Firewall Pro, but I doubt very much that would be the root of the problem as I don't experience any similar problems with any other sites, and I've had the same hardware & software combination for months.

On a related note, on a hunch, I just went into C:\WinNT\system32\drivers\etc and added the following line to the hosts file -

And now the site works just fine for me, under both browsers. Shrug.

Just wanted to say that now, it can be resolved here in Australia (at least in my part, that is) smile.gif

I was experiencing a very similar problem to Jack Comics yesterday. Now all is well, and I haven't changed anything so I think it was related to the DNS resolution across our ISP's.

Links for specific pages don't seem to work correctly. (except on portal and new posts)
example: List of recommended LAME settings page:15

This should be fixed now.

They work fine now. Thank you.

DNS resolves... then it doens't... then it does again. Very peculiar. Worked fine yesterday.

edit: Happened again this morning. Are your nameservers running on NT or something? I'm getting ready to add HA to my hosts file.

I just added HAs IP to my hosts file because of DNS problems. I could not get to last new posts, could not post and ended almost always on HAs portal page.

I don't know if this makes any sense but yesterday for a few hours HA had DNS problems again, for me at least. I could reach HA via the IP address, but not with the URL. Then, after a few hours it worked again,

Just to mention had similar issues (hit & miss dns resolving) earlier today as well.

Thought it was my isp but tried another as well.
