Does anyone know of a good freedb or allmusic-based tagger for tagging and managing filenames for individual songs or albums?

I used to use the MMJB "smart tagger" (despite my loathing of the rest of the program), and I'm looking for something with a comparable or larger feature set.

Well worth the US$30 imho.
There are probably good freeware solutions out there too (Foobar masstagger?), but T&R does everything I need it to do, and does it well.

ok, I don't know a whole lot about foobar2k, but from my limited experience with it, it seems like the masstagger isn't what I'm looking for.

what I want is something like MMJB's smart tagger, which gives you a list of closest matches for each song you're tagging, and you can interactively select the one that you think is the right one before it writes it into the tag. foobar's masstagger seems to just do its own thing - it seems like I have no way of even being sure that it picked the right info from the DB...

f2k works mostly in album mode, and you gan do searches there

I'm not sure I follow - I've tried looking at the preferences and messing around with it, but I still haven't found any interactive tagging options. The only thing I see is the masstagger, where you hit "run", and have it magically go off somewhere and update your tags without your input. Am I missing something?

Though complicated, I've found The Godfather to be a very powerful free masstagger/music organizer.
