I have to split some large mp3 files.
I have the correct cue file.
I use musicutter, BUT, when the files are VBR, the lenght of the splitted files are wrong. In fact the splitted mp3 is OK (sound OK, lenght OK when played), but the lenght as noted in the Tag, or in winamp is wrong (doesn't correspond with the cue file).
I think it's due to the VBR files, but I don't want to reencode in CBR, and I think I'm not the only one with this problem.

Rebuild the VBR headers of your files.

I have used VBRHeader and it work fine. Quick and simple to use.
I notice mp3trim is able to clean mp3. Is it useful ?

Can somebody tell more on this? I tried some time ago, but unsuccessfully (maybe for the file's samplerate of 48kb)...

I can only host it if the author authorizes, or if there's a clausule in the license allowing redistribution.

Besides, is it better than VBRheader? I don't see much point mirroring it at RW if there's another tool doing the same already.
