There's nothing wrong with trying to make Winamp Plugins work with Foobar.
And how come you are exactly the expert on this issue? Do you happen to have very advanced knowledge of the Foobar2000 architecture that somehow the author of foobar2000 lacks.
Consider it as the official opinion that there is something wrong with using Winamp plugins in FB2K. What you do personally and wether you want to use them privately is entirely up to you and no one will mind that whatsoever. But please refrain from posting false information in a public forum.

Winamp Input Wrapper is a good idea cause there are a good amount of input plugins which work with Winamp Input Wrapper.
Well maybe it would be an even better idea for you (that apperently has so much knowledge about these things) to write native Foobar plugins that can perform these tasks you so much miss from Winamp.
I never tried to act like an expert on Foobar2000. Everything in my post is my opinion. And no, I am not posting false information. What, should have written that I don't think that there is nothing wrong with using the Winamp Input Wrapper. I do believe that it is a good program but yes, it does crash Foobar but I've only had the crash on several occasions which pretty much was when using video plugins, & a couple of other plugins.
And yes, I do have a problem finding the right words to say. Well, the major problem is that many of the Winamp Plugins don't come with source code, you 9 times out of 10, you have to contact the author.
And no, I don't miss the features of Winamp. In fact, Winamp is crap compared to Foobar which is now my favorite player.
