Some of my mp3 files are encoded by lame beta and alpha releases.

Usually, are there any serious issues with pre-release versions of lame?

The mp3s sound OK, but I would like to know if I should keep these files or re-rip them using the latest lame stable version.

I should mention that I have a LOT of mp3s which are encoded using lame pre-releases, so re-ripping them is going to be a big job, which I would rather avoid.

Let your ears be the judge, if they sound good to you, keep 'em. If not, re-rip.
