I am embarking on VHS>DVD transfer with a Plextor device using mpeg2.

Anyone have opinions on what DVD authoring tools and should try. What about Vegas 5/DVD Architect 2.0 ???

I am also looking for simply the BEST slideshow software available; I am trying them left and right...any opinions? I think DVD Arch. 2.0 has the capability....

dunno about vegas/arhitect combo, but i did just that with encore the other day. The app is paintfully slow and buggy, and the slideshow construction (i just took like 300 photos and add some background music) is really superslow and crashy, but at the end it is kinda working smile.gif

(now, i still dont know how exactly are stills stored on dvd and what exactly can be done with them - like fadeouts fadeins, what resolution are they stored in (i just scaled them down to pal res), ect??)

another nice looking app i will probably try in the near future is DVDlab.
