I just have downloaded "CoolLAME Filter" dated 2004-02-10 from
http://www.rarewares.org/files/mp3/cool_lame.zip.

I tested it with CEP 1.2 Pro demo and "LAME (Version 3.90.3, Dibrom)" & "LAME (Version 3.96, stable)".

Description on the bug:
Whenever you export a VBR-MP3 using CoolLAME, the header says 128kbits.
After fixing the header with the free version of "mp3trim", it shows the correct value.

I tried the command-line-versions of the mentioned builds and they work correctly.
