I like my encoded music files named as TrackNo-Title (i.e. 02-Piano Man) rather than with a space (i.e. 02 Piano Man) like iTunes normally does. I also like the extension MP4 better than M4A.

So, I've modified my iTunes.exe file to work this way and was considering posting the information here for others as well but just wanted to check on the legalities and forums rules before posting it.

On a side note, I'm also trying to figure out how to change the Artist and Album from iTunes usual \Artist\Album\TrackNo-Title to Artist-Album\TrackNo-Title and seeing if I can figure out how to make iTunes call the QuickTime library with the "best" setting rather than the usual "better" setting (assumming you have QT Pro installed) but haven't gotten too far with those yet. But would also like to know about the legalities/rules about those too, particularly the "best" / "better" one if I do figure it out.

Thanks.

I don't think it's a good idea to post that kind of thing here. What goes on outside of HA is beyond our control though. Thanks for checking.

Why would you want to do any of that!? blink.gif

fwiw, using the "best" setting is completely useless, as it is optimized for 24bit material and will produce the same results as the "better" setting which iTunes uses.
