Does anyone know of a way to encode to XviD 1.0 or above under OS X?

Doesn't mencoder work under OS X? You will have to build from the source though I am afraid http://www.mplayerhq.hu probably the best solution ATM. I don't know of anywhere where you can get binaries.

Or what about ffmpegX it supports XviD 1.01 http://homepage.mac.com/major4/
