hey,
I was wondering, Can EAC or CDex 1.5 tag Ogg Vorbis files?
Im not going to encode to mp3, only to OGg, and i noticed that CDex has only ID3 stuff..
can anybody help me to setup this stuff in CDex and EAC?

AFAIK it's not that hard
CD-EX: something about having the switches -t "%2" -a "%1" added to the encodingfline for external encoders. Check the help file for parameters.
But why not the very handy mass tagger WinVorbis?

Ok. Figured it out for CD-Ex. Seems to work.
Select external encoder. Set the path to oggenc.exe
My parameter string would look like this:
--raw -q 4,5 -o "%2" -a "%a" -t "%t" -l "%b" -N %tn -c "ENCODING=4,5" -
(Set the encoder to "on-the-fly" and the extension to ogg)
Which gives me an ogg Vorbis with tags
Artist
Title
Album
Tracknumber
Encoding (Personal tag)
As long as you use the dll-Vorbis-Encoder with CDex this is AFAIK not necessary. CDex should tag the files automatically.

ah ok.. i thought that it didnt work.. it just seems that winamp3 doesnt read the vorbis info tags yet.
yes, use the "Ogg Vorbis DLL Encoder". It will tag your files perfectly.
if you would like to change the standard tag-comment "Track is encoded with CDex using the libvorbis library" with something else, you just enter something in the Setup-> General-> "Tag comment field" (it's originally used for ID3).
if you are capable of reading Norwegian, you find a CDex-Vorbis guide here:

I use EAC with oggenc (Ogg Vorbis Encoder selection) and EAC seems to automagially add the Ogg Tag for me.
