How are you adding the files? Are you double-clicking them in explorer, or maybe Playlist > Add files?

I can tell you he's adding them in explorer by dbl-click. I've also wondered recently if there's a hidden tickbox somewhere, that allows a dbl-click on a song to be enqueued by default--like in everyone's old favorite, [llama noise] WA. biggrin.gif
I've seen the option for adding by commandline, but nothing about clicking. I'll probably get curious sometime and search the registry for it.

Great job on the player zZzZzZz! This is just a tiny detail I've noticed, not a complaint. Foobar really shines.

That option applies to opening from explorer as well.

Good luck! foobar2000 doesn't keep preferences in the registry, it keeps them in the foobar2000.cfg file in its directory. There aren't any hidden settings, and the only entries it adds in the registry are for uninstalling and file type associations.

Thanks, rpop!

Back when I installed foobar, I didn't associate very many file types with it because I was just going to try it out.biggrin.gif This prevented the checkbox from working correctly. Now that I've reassociated audio files with fooassoc.exe, it works fine.

Was that checkbox designed to work independently of windows file associations? It does (for me anyway). I still have "Play in foobar2000" as default in windows, yet it enqueues songs in foobar. This makes it alot easier, as I don't have to go through all the file types and set enqueue as default. Very cool!

P.S. Nice happy pic, rpop. crying.gif

If you take a closer look at how the play and enqueue commands are set up in the registry, you will notive that they play/enqueue files through the command line. So that checkbox applies for file associations as well (even if it is not explicitly stated there).

Strange thing about the "Enqueue incoming files..." box is that when I have it ticked, even if I right-click on a file and choose "Play in fb2k" or "Open in fb2k", it just opens foobar and enqueues it at the bottom of my playlist. It doesn't play it or start playing at the top of the playlist (like winamp). So I tick the "Start playing on startup" box and leave the "enqueue by default" unticked, and all is well.
