I got my 1212m the other day with already modded opamps and got to listen to low level music last night after installing it, and it sounded amazing.

This morning I turned up the volume some and found that there was a loud high-midrange humming in the left channel only, and is coming from the card after changing cables and such. I tried different patchmixes and that didn't help the problem at all. The opamps are AD8620's and there are two on the analog outputs. I would like to figure out what i need to do to solve this, and how i can root the problem down to the source.

I will take a look at the solder points when i get home in a little bit and bring an update. The humming does not oscillate and fades out briefly when loading applications (firefox, foobar). It is constant and very audible.

thanks, twodeko

I don't know what could cause this, but the best way to start is by eliminating possible causes.
I would start by installing the card into another computer and see what happens.

Go to head-fi. A lot of people use the card there and some mod it and know how it works exactly.

well i fixed the problem... seems like the rider card wasn't sitting properly or was shorting out cause a simple wiggle fixed the problems but they come back occassionaly... only to need another wiggle.

i can live with it biggrin.gif

thanks guys
