I use an M-Audio Sonica from my PC out to an external DAC via its toslink connection. I used to be able to use Kernel Streaming with no problems, but now for some unknown reason, KS no longer works. I can't figure out why.

I also would like to use ASIO if possible, but I can't figure that out either.

Can someone walk me through this? My PC is WinXP Pro and Foobar is 8.2.

Sorry for the stupid questions, but I can't figure this out.

I went back to a previous Sonica driver and KS now works with 24bit-fixed point or lower.

Now, can someone explain ASIO to me?
