I've used fb2k for some time now. I had to reformat recently, though, and reinstall everything. And since installing foobar on my fresh system, the audio has been periodically glitching. It seems to happen REPEATEDLY around 3-5 seconds into a track. Sometimes it seems to have something to do with me doing tasks in other applications (such as firefox, explorer, etc.), but sometimes it seems to just happen. I never had this problem before. I've tried different outputs; it seems to happen no matter what. I tried putting directsound 2.0's buffer up to 5MB, but that doesn't help. kernelsound doesn't help, either. i even popped in a backup dvd that had 0.7.7b on it, and it happens in there, too. What in god's name is causing this?
(some other info: i'm pretty much using all default settings. in prefs -> playback, "playback thread priority" is set to the default "max." "volume control" is the only active DSP.)
any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
