foobar gave a lot of problem in w2k..

I have W2k SP4 and foobar2000 0.8.3 and I can't find msvcr71.dll on my system disk.

MS says that it should go in the program's folder, convenience says that you should keep a single copy somewhere in your system path.

Lazy: System32 directory
Handy: Create a new folder for extra DLL files you install, add it to your path. You may or may not need to reboot for this to propagate. (Control Panel -> System Properties -> Advanced -> Environment Variables -> System variables -> Path)
