I have been reading on the forum for almost an hour and can't find answers on my problem.

I have EAC and Lame downloaded and want to ripp some CD's.
If I use the MP3 button in EAC all that happens is that EAC puts an wav file on my harddisk.

How can I get a mp3 with using the mp3 button in EAC?

Also I would like to know what kind of settingI must use (F11): the internal or an external program for compression?

And finally, how do I set the preset extreme?

EAC Setup: Run the configuration Wizard.
Compression options: Use External Program for Compression; User def Encoder;
--alt-preset extreme %s %d

That will get it started.
