Full Version: EAC and LAME Tagging Troubles

First the system info:
I use Windows XP, EAC V0.95 Prebeta 4, and LAME 3.90.3.

Now the problem:
EAC and LAME rip to .wav, and compress the files perfectly, however it does not write the information of songs, such as track length, genre, etc. It just leaves those type of properties completely blank. I checked my settings against someone using the same system info, and settings, and his seem to be working fine.

I can't figure out, but maybe you can. Thanks in advance.

your lacking %s and %d parameters (among others). Look at my string...

--alt-preset standard --id3v2-only --pad-id3v2 --tt "%t" --ta "%a" --tl "%g" --ty %y --tc "EAC: Lame 3.92 @ alt pre std" --tn %n --tg "%m" %s %d

When using the LAME external encoder (or any other), turn off (uncheck) all options related to ID3 tagging...the parameters in the above CL will take care of that.

I have in...

%A - %L - %N - %T

...for construction of filenames (though I never use that function). Where it is important is EAC>EAC Options>Filenames (tab) where I have %A - %L - %N - %T for the Naming Scheme and %C - %N - %A - %T for Various Artist

Finally...upgrade EAC to 0.95pb5.

I think you should also use the option "User Defined Encoder" at Parameter passing scheme when using Xenno's command line.
