One of my friends recorded a piece of classical background music somewhere under very difficult conditions and with heavy distortion, but he would like to know the title and composer. Could somebody please help ?
Thanks in advance.

I am going to guess it is Vivaldi. Better than that I cannot do. Anyone else?? cool.gif

Hmm, does sound like it's from Vivaldi's Four Seasons. But can't be sure.

I reckon it sounds like, but isn't. (or maybe I always skip that track?!)

Maybe someone did a variation on a Vivaldi theme?

I've got tapes of our school orchestra from the 1980s that sound just like that recording. Well, the recording quality is the same - on your recording it sounds like the orchestra might be in tune, which is something our school orchestra never quite seemed to manage!

Cheers,
David.

There is something very familiar about this one. Where was it recorded? The length and quality suggest it was used during a gymnastics/floor excersise for women or ice skating.

No, actually it was was recorded inside the HollandRama multimedia show in the Arnhem Open Air Museum, where it is used as an opening tune. If you should ever visit our country, visiting this place is surely worth the effort. It is located near Arnhem, the location where the historical events leading to 'A Bridge too far' during WWII took place.
It seems to be (a variation on) a Vivaldi theme (thanks David) , possibly from one of the L' Estro Armonico Concerto.

Weird. I'd guess just music someone composed for the event. Certainly contains mostly Baroque elements, but also one or two romantic ones (eg the progression before the bass comes in) Not very consistently pieced together, so I'd guess it's a composition for the event.
