Yes it is, and no, I haven't seen anything yet. It's 5:52 pm Atlantic time, which I think is about an hour or 2 ahead of the good folks at Xiph..

Umm.. Maybe I'm confused. ver 1.0 has been out on Rarewares for a few days, hasn't it? Or was that somesort of pre-release?

That [b]IS 1.0 release (the 07-13 build, at least). But the official release was planned for today. That's why there's no 1.0 information (yet) at vorbis.com.

According to Emmet, the official release is a bit dealyed.
Topic of the #vorbis was changed to:
"I'm sorry, folks, but we have to wait. We're being very thorough with the spec, and it has inadequately documented areas. Official 1.0 release is soon, days as opposed to weeks. It's my call, and I take full responsibility. See you soon"

The encoder and CVS has been freezed. It's just the specs.

The encoder is the final, unless some last minute showstopper appears. Until the specs are good enough for the release, there won't be official announcement from Xiph at vorbis.com or anywhere.
Yesterday there seems to have been some changes in the CVS. Does anybody know what they were about? Perhaps anybody knows a bit more when the final release is "planned"?
