My portable mp3 player and my car mp3 player does not read playlist files so it cannot play mp3 files in a particular order. Ive had to rename the files putting a 01 02 etc before each file. this can become long and tedious. Does anyone know of an easier way to make Mp3 cds in the order I want them?

The nice little tool called ReOrganize! could be useful for you. It supports players that use the file system (FAT) order of files and players that sort files by name.
