Is it stable ?

Is it better than RazorLame ?

(meant for newbies ?)

Somebody told me to replace (or add easylame) razorlame in list of recommended settings.

His argument:
Easylame would be really easier to new users, as easylame would have --alt-preset standard as default setting...

Your opinion about easylame ?!

Please post !

EasyLAME is the german successor of WinLAME. Our friend Volcano put it together, the homepage is http://www.easylame.de.vu/.

The installation procedure is german, but after that, the interface is in english. It combines RazorLAME 1.1.5, LAME 3.92 and optimized presets. I think you should link to it on that translated german page of the "recommended settings".

I have added Easylame to German list.

Is there a kind of easylame (with preinstalled alt-presets) in English, which could be added to English list ?

Perhaps Winlame ?

It seems, that Volcanos link to presets for razorlame does not work anymore.

As Easylame is itself in English anyway, perhaps Volcano could create an English installation routine and a short English website for downloading "full" English version of Easylame ?

I was going to. In fact, I had done all the Inno Setup modifications already, but I lost *ALL* my EasyLAME files (including the complete German translation of the Inno Setup language file and the configuration files, *aaargh*) because some bloody f... GOONS deleted them (plus all of my downloads) when my PC served as a jukebox at a party last week.

My last hope is Ontrack EasyRecovery - if that doesn't work, I'll have to write all the configuration stuff again. Oh well, 6 weeks of school holidays... wink.gif

I will definitely make a complete English version of EasyLAME, since Roel will never get win32LAME up-to-date anymore. (And if all those components used for RazorLAME would work in Delphi Personal Edition, there would have been a complete German version of the package long ago...)

Edit:
