Hello
I'm compressing a lot of lot of old mono records and it's a waste of hard disk space to compress them with 2 channels.
Is there any way to tell Monkey Audio to compress just the right or the left channel?
If not, is there another lossless codec that make it?
Thanks
Jan S.
it will compress mono stuff as mono (well practically speaking, the compression will be far greater - just as lossy encoders with lossless stereo coupling).

I suggest you read this: http://www.monkeysaudio.com/theory.html

btw.: even though the source says that it's mono it not always the case totally.

You can use also CDex. It supports Monkeys Audio and it has the option for mono.

I suggest you try both with mono and stereo on your mono material then....
Then if there's no big difference stick with stereo.
