Ok, i have a question.

I am using --alt-preset cbr 128 to encode stuff so I can use it on a portable player and in my car. I just want to know if I should use a lowpass filter (maybe around 16.5 or 17)? Would this get me anymore quality?

I know that all of you will laugh for encoding at 128, but i figure I still have the original cd's if I ever want to archive stuff.

You don't need any extra settings, presets are already tuned to take care of these issues.
