I'm looking for help to get the best sound possible out of the M-Audio Audiophile 2496 which i use to listen to mp3.The card is plugged into my stereo amplifier through the analog out.Winamp(default settings) is the software player.Also the M Audio Delta Control Panel is set to default too.Recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

I've tested my Transit with Rightmark and (I think) it gives bit-perfect digital output without ASIO, so if the Audiophile works in the same way you won't be able to improve on standard settings. I suppose check that Winamp doesn't alter the output eg with equalisation and set the card to 24 bit if you have volume controls at less than maximum for technically the best output.
