Hello!

Are there any Plextor DVD±RW drives supporting DVD+R Dual Layer? It seems that the Plextor PX-712A is the newest device and it doesn't support DL. Also, are there any black Plextor drives available?

Regards,

Yes.

Not seen any reports of dual layer functionality yet.

One thing to note is that Plextor *does* support Mt Rainier, while Lite-On and some of the other popular drives don't.

I just bought the PX-712A - so far, everything's OK. smile.gif
Do you know if Plextor might add DL capabilities in a new firmware version?

No, Plextor won't add either bitsetting or DL capabilities to the 712A ... they definitely have got enough work with all these RMA requests at the moment ...

Another PX-712A question... Are the read and write offsets really -120? I thought that only one value can be negative, but not both. unsure.gif
