Yeah, let's keep this thread going forever (if Dibrom doesn't mind it filling up the database wink.gif), this is fun IMHO. smile.gif

BTW, Roberto: I saw *many* Pink Floyd albums on Amazon.de released on August 30th, in other words, three days ago!

A Momentary Lapse Of Reason, A Saucerful Of Secrets, Animals, Atom Heart Mother, Meddle, Obscured By Clouds, Relics, The Division Bell, The Final Cut, The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn.

The others are either offered as the 1994 remasters or the original CD releases.

Have they seriously released a brand new set of remasters? If so, does anybody know who they were remastered by?

BTW, I saw the reference to Bernd Steidl...where did you get that record? I've been tryin' for ages to get it from the Mike Varney label...bit it seems to be out of print...

Actually I got it from one of my friends. He collects quite a bit of out of print stuff from some of these guys, especially stuff off that label. I know at least some of the stuff he's found in stores down in the CA bay area, like ameoba's, rasputins, etc. I think he got one of Stiedl's albums there, and the other he ordered online somewhere. I can ask him where if you like.

Buckethead is with Guns N' Roses at the moment, and thats what I'm listening to now:

Madagascar(Live) at MTV's Video Music Awards 2002

He's definitely one of the better guitar players I've ever heard.

Hi,
don't know if is has anything to do with those, but today I saw brand new issues of some Floyd albums. Well it were just the already know digital remasters but with bonus tracks. huh.gif
e.g. Dark Side of the Moon, with some unreleased (live?) tracks by the (current remnants) Floyd 87, or Wish You Were Here with all the early (Syd Barret era) singles.

These kinds of re-issues are just a bad joke from the record companies. First the original album, then a digital remaster, then bonus tracks. And every time asking the full price! dry.gif

BTW: playing "The Gathering - Nighttime Birds"

Ps, Roberto, I have almost every thing Floyd ever put onto Vinyl, its my most precious possesions,if the house was burning down (after family and pets first of course) they would definately be coming out with me, I would need to be knocked out cold to stop me getting back in for my Floyd Vinyls, most of which I have had for many years and spent a small fortune amassing.

That's the spirit! biggrin.gif

I have very few Floyd vinyls (UmmaGumma, Wish You Were Here, The Wall, Momentary lapse of Reason...), but I have all(?) CDs, including the rare "Early Singles"

Too bad I can't listen to my vinyls anymore. All I have is a very, very lousy Sony turntable that seems very suspicious and generates bad sound.

BTW: My Shine On would definitely be coming out with me too if my apartment was on fire. biggrin.gif
