foobar2000 v0.667 is playing Iggy & The Stooges - Search & Destroy.
Have you heard the cover version made by The Red Hot Chili Peppers?
I haven't heard that one, but the thought makes me cringe. Some songs should be left alone.
Right now: Alice Cooper Group - Big Apple Dreaming.mp3

Now listening to
Mercury Rev - Tonight it Shows from their album
Deserter's Songs on CDDA format played by foobar2000 v0.667.
Everytime I hear that band, it reminds me the time when I was a student in Nottingham, UK, if anyone knows where it is. I went to one of their gigs there. The venue was Rock City. I remember the last song was a cover of Neil Young's
Cortez the killer played very loud. The Flaming Lips opened the show and actually as far as I can remember the audience was actually more impressed by them than by Mercury Rev... I bought my ticket on black market, making me save two quids so I could offer myself a pint of Stella.
The good old time...

Actually a bunch of different stuff. Home alone for a while. Nice when there are no distractions, and complaints about abnormal volume levels.
Gives me a chance to dig around in the Emusic files. I have almost as many of these as I do actual cd's now. Some good, some not so good. Weeding out the bad...

My first successful DVD rip! I've been trying to rip some audio from a few DVDs for awhile, but haven't had much luck. Last night, somehow it finally all made sense. Actually, I think it might have something to do with how easy the latest version of DVD Decrypter is to use.

Mark Knopfler - Screenplaying, Audio CD.
Got it from the library, and I'm quite enjoying it. I already know the Local Hero soundtrack, but the others are new to me, and they're beautiful. (Well... except for that folk-type stuff in "Cal", but apart from that...)
Good old Dire Straits never let me down, even if I'm feeling that way...
So after R.E.M. - drive fades out, next up is
Dire Straits - the man's too strong.

Browsed through some of Emusics Psychedelic selections and stumbled across this absolute gem. Could probably be more accurately classified as Progressive. If you like older stuff of this style you should find it. It is really good.
