from Hot Buttered Soul because uploading 20 odd seconds of it made me remember what a truly funky song it is.


I think there may be such a thing as an addictive melody that hiijacks our normal brain processing and internally self-perpetuates in our brains like a loop (gets "stuck in your head"), Arthur C. Clarke had an excellent story about this idea in his short story collection Tales from the White Hart.
