I like Gus Gus a lot, (especially, "Teenage Sensation", but I'm only familiar with the "This is Normal" CD . . . which made me wonder . . .
. . . I'm not sure if you're quoting lyrics from a song, or referencing your own condition. It caught my attention because on Nov 18, I too, was suffering a bit of "last night (still) in my body." (The 17th being my birthday.)

IMHO opinion 'David' is on the edge of being optimistic and melancholic at the same time. a feeling of loss and a feeling of happiness merged together, which sounds great.
'Teenage Sensation' is very nice too.
I can recommend Gus Gus to anyone who likes Drum 'n Base progressive chillout
