I was listening to some Toad the Wet Sprocket however, today a friend of mine just gave me his CD of Ennio Morricone "Movie Masterpieces" (2004).
The mastering on this CD is very good, as ripping and replaygaining it yields album gain of -3.45 dB and album peak of 0.903201

The CD dropped in the US on June 3, 2008.
Especially good are "Indestructible", "Inside the Fire", and "Haunted".
The album gain is -10.44 dB and album peak is 1.23 as per my rips off my CD of the music.
Most songs are a veritable wall of sound, but then again, what that is hard rock / heavy metal isn't these days?

Listening to The Dark Knight Soundtrack, quite the same soundtrack from the first (some recycled tunes) but its has some new tunes also. A good way to psyche up for TDK. Totally recommend it.
