Deep Purple - Woman From Tokyo

Wuah, Deep Purple's 'Knocking at your back door' is too damn cool!

Well, I don't know 'Knocking at your back door'. I used to listen to old Deep Purple LPs from one of my uncles when I was ~12 up to ~14 years old and then, for whatever reason, didn't listen to it anymore. Some weeks ago I heard 'Smoke On The Water' in a movie, rembered 'the good 'ol days' © and bought a best of -> Deepest Purple - The Very Best Of Deep Purple.

I'm looking towards buying some of the Albums that are released as Audio-CD. 'Machine Head' and 'Who Do We Think We Are?' seem promising.

Pulp - His 'n' Hers

A lot of their newer and older stuff was dross, but I used to absolutely love this album when I was young. Just now, I understand a lot more about it; Cocker's lyrics are absolutely precise, straight to the point, and emotionally direct.

MALDITA FU**IN' PRIMAVERA?!?!
Yuri???

There's a band in Mexico called Moderatto. They are a "joke" band, they pretend to be some "hair metal" band (like Poison) and they play Poison-like version of old corny songs by Yuri, Luis Miguel, Parchis, AS IF THEY ORIGINALLY COMPOSED THOSE SONGS, MADE THEM HITS AND THE VERSIONS YOU'VE KNOWN ARE "COVERS".
Clever, isn't it?
The thing is, you realize that A LOT of those songs would be so much better have they always been like that...
Thay do "Primavera" in concert.

I had a (sadly) short relationship with an amazing gaúcha wub.gif.She teached a few things to me, then I learnt a lot by myself, mostly reading Zero Hora (a newspaper from Porto Alegre), with the help of a couple of excellent dictionaries (World Translator & Babylon) I used all the time back then.
About "Um mamão numa mão..." , she told this phrase to me trying to be funny because I was curious about this mamão fruit I had never seen before (never seen it here in Argentina). Also because I was delighted with the way they pronounced "amanhã" , something I was unable to do (amanhã , maçã...).
Another funny quote I remember is "O ladrão não gosta de preocupação" , that's by her uncle, a pretty funny guy.He talked about the fact that common robbers wont take risks and will always go for the easiest possible job.

Palta is a rare fruit here but you can get it if you search around. It's green in the outside and kind of yellow inside , I guess this is what you call "avocado" in english.I don't remember if I ever had some palta , I think I didn't.

From my experience mamão is quite different , bigger , softer , light orange or so in the outside , strong orange inside. It has a gross taste at first but I got used to it and then even liked it.But those small brazilian bananas are better all the way , IMO even better than bananas from Ecuador.Very sweet.I even bought some mini-bananas that were also delicious.

Awesome song about Maradona getting screwed up in 1990 to "protect the italians". Mano Negra is one of the most influential (how many times have I made the same comment*) bands in Rock En Español.
Maybe not in Argentina, but in Mexico, their "offspring" is quite numerous.

I just found out that Los Angeles Negros are not Mexican, but Chilean...

* I have been writing an article called "The 20 Greatest Rock En Español Bands Of All Time". It's based more on influence. You know, the impact that some bands made in their peers and the next generations. I have written 5 essays yet. I could post, but I fear that my list, being a bit Mexico-centric would be hard to understand.
