Hi guys,

the latest matroska packs are online at the usual place on http://packs.matroska.org now. The last packs ( 1.0.2 ) were loaded about 300,000 times since April, creating about 750 GB of traffic in total.

Latest changes are

- The packs are now using the latest version of ffdshow, but a special version without encoder ( only decoder ). This means that now all newer XviD movies will play fine also

- Latest matroskasplitter from Gabest's Guliverkli site is used, 1.0.2.4, and it will support new MKV files created with very latest mkvtoolnix ( 0.9.5 ) with higher timestamp precison ( 64 bit )

- A dshow decoder and encoder filter for the new TTA lossless audio format was added

- Latest matroska muxer filter, also from Gabest, is included

- The pack will check if a decoder DLL for Realvideo 9 is installed, and come up with a warning that MKVs with RV9 will not play if not, and point to Realplayer or Realcodec.exe to get this decoder

- Also all other filters were updated to their last versions, like DVobSub ( vsfilter ), Morgan Stream Switcher ( mmswitch, deactivated by default ), Matrix Mixer ( also deactivated ), AC3filter, CoreVorbis, CoreFLAC, CoreAAC, etc.

Have fun smile.gif !

Nice! I'm being thick here, but why are some filters deactivated by default?

matroskaprop ( the shell extension ), not everybody wnats to have it.

mmswitch ( Morgan Stream Switcher ), not necessary if you have a good player

matrix mixer, also not necessary if you have a nice 5.1 soundcard
