since I can't perform search for 'ac3' (less than 4 alphabets)

Is there AC3 decoder plugin for Winamp 2.x ??
I know long time ago Nullsoft developing that plugin... but ...
I don't why now I can't find that plugin.

Actually, if you search for "ac3*" you can still search. This came up once before I believe.

EDIT: I mean the search legnth. I have no idea about the AC3 Winamp Plugin.

The last version of in_ac3 I had was based on an early version of ac3decode and did anything but decode the AC3 correctly.

Ok, this is apparently the same plugin. Same bugs, means 32khz and 44khz gets played back as 48khz, and it does clip like sh*t.

The Liquid Audio plug-in for Winamp cna play AC3 files (along with their own format). So I read, I never tried it.

Downloaded it and installed it..... it's not true their plugin can play .ac3
to play the .ac3 file, you have to download their player.

If anybody would want to create a new, better AC3 plugin for winamp two pretty good ac3 decoders come to mind :

- Azid from Midas. I ma not sure if the sources are available of if Midas would give them away. Try to contact him via Doom9.org .

- Eugenes decoder from : http://eugene7777.tripod.com/

Blacksun was giving the link to Eugenes page recently in a thread about real time 5.1 Vorbis or 5.1 AAC to 5.1 AC3 encoding, using a special DSF that tateu wants to code ( http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=27718 )
