If you live in the UK, you may have noticed by now that the weather has been abhorrent. And that every day it has rained in August. This is not so bad for me, since I am a huge fan of the wet stuff (although then again, I work at Walls - you may imagine what the ice-cream sales are like this year).
Anyway, I want a microphone that I can hang out of the window (or pretty much out of the window, that will pick up rain, thunder, 'nature' in general. So, I guess it doesn't want to be particularly directional, and doesnt want to be completely destructed by wind. I used to have a small battery powered mic that came with my minidisc player that looked like a lump of bluetac, which did that kind of job very well. I used to leave that in the forest and it would nicely pick up bird / leaf / nature noise, without being completely fluffed by wind. But I lost that.
Any suggestions?
