Full Version: Shorten tags
Does Shorten support APE or at least ID3v2 tags? If not, what's the fastest lossless codec which does?

FLAC uses vorbis comments (ogg tags) which is similar to apev2.

...but located at the beginning of the file (which supposes a full rewritting on most tag's modification or the use of padding -and a software supporting it properly- to avoid it with vorbis_comment).

"most" is in the eye of the beholder. This never happens with me and shouldn't happen often unless your comments are over 4K in size or your tagging tools use the metadata interface incorrectly.
