hi,im a first time user of foobar and i must say its much better as much lesser resources intensive,not to mention theres no aol crap bundled,and i like the clean interface with foo_columns
im currently running foobar on KS
but is there any ways to improve the audio quality?
decoder->replaygain->dsp->convert to output data format->output
im running audigy 1 and i put the output data format as 24bit fix point
anything else i can improve on?

Audigy 1 do not support 24 bit so best you can do is just changing it to 16 bit fixed point.
Next enable resampler at 48000 on the top of the dsp chain. Audigy cards have some issues with bad resampling which was disscussed several times on HA. Use search for more details. You can also put Advanced Limiter on the end of DSP chain to prevent clipping, but better use it together with replaygain.
And change Kernel Streaming to Direct Sound 2 plugin. I wonder if you hear any difference between them...

For resampling, I highly recommend the PPHS resampler.

uh i thought audigy cards support 24bit?even the website for creative says so
