i was ripping a cd earlier, and when i took out that cd, and put another one in, it wouldn't read it, i tried uninstalling the drive, disconnecting it, and starting windows without it, then i restarted, and reconnected it and booted up again, windows reinstalled it, but it still didnt work. so then i went to download firmware for it and flashed it, but it still does not work, what can i do? sad.gif

btw, it is a Black LG GCE-8525B

Have you ripped/burned many cd's with this drive? Always a possibility that it's just given up the ghost.

no, i bought it 2 months ago, im sure ive burned less than 40 cd's with it, and ripped about 30..

can you get a warranty refund after having flashed it?

it's only 2 months old, so i'm sure the computer shop will take it back.
