I'm new to the whole surround sound deal...I have two floor standing speakers, two rear and a center connected to a marantz reciever...for some reason when I watch a movie, Dolby or Pro Logic doesn't work on every speaker...when I switch to Dolby mode, only the two floor standing speakers work...help please??

Undo all the wires and then reconnect them making sure you have them connected correctly.

On some receivers they have two outputs for using two center channel speakers, therefore you may have to plug one wire into one jack for speaker 1 and one wire into one jack for speaker 2 in order for them to work -- well it was at least that way on my system.

Thanks...but I think the problem is my reciever, its a Marantz SR580...most reviews complain about how weak it is...I can't even find the option for Dolby Digital on it...does anyone have this reciever?
