I hope that I can release the 1.13 final soon, I only want to add one more feature first.

Hi Gambit. If it's all right to ask, what is the "one more feature" you hope to add? (And if it's meant to be a surprise, I do understand... just curious!)

Yeah, I'm also curious, what will be that new feature! rolleyes.gif

Any updates for this project? Any chance of adding support for linux .toc files. They are pretty similar to cuesheets, but tend to be a little more detailed. This would be usefull since most (all?) linux rippers can't output a cuesheet.

I've installed Burrrn on several machines with much luck. But now I installed it on a friends relatively new system. He's got XP Home Edition sp2, P4 CPU. When I try to start Burrrn I only get a "...has performed an illegal operation and will be closed..." type of message from XP. Nothing helps. I know this is extremely little to go on, but if somebody has a clue that could set me on the track, I'd be glad....

I had the same problem on my brother's new computer. It's a Intel P4 - 3.2GHz, with XP SP2.

Well, I don't know, if this is the problem, but I experienced the following issue with a different program. If a software is compiled with Borland Deplhi 6, the program will not run in 3 GHz or faster machine. When same source code is compiled Delphi 7 or newer, program will run on faster machine.

I don't know, what compiler is used for Burrrn...

Burrrn is a very interesting program, congratulations Gambit! It could be my burnning machine if write offset will be implemented. I have the 1.13b version but can't find this (promised) feature... I still hope.

But I also like the CUEditor. I have some featur requests for it:
- An option to move and rename the CUE file using artist and album (and maybe more tags, e.g. "%Artist\%Album\%Artist - %Album.cue").
- An option to move and rename the log file created by EAC (same as above).
- CUEditor should be a separate executable.

Gambit, continue your good work!
Gambit
I'm aware of the P4 problem, but I don't know what's causing it. Burrrn is compiled with Delphi 7, so that's not the problem. If somebody with a P4 that has this problem has some time to help me fix it, please PM me.

The same problem happens on my Intel P4 - 2.6 Ghz, with SP2. It happens intermittently. If I re-open it several times it eventually works.

a little feature request here cool.gif
it would be awesome if out-of-the-box support for ac3 (and maybe dts?) decoding could be added to burrrn. this would be raelly usefull for mixing together a few tunes from your own DVDs for personal listening.
you could of course do this with BeSweet as an aditional step, but it would be great if burrrn would be able to do this too.

now, I could think of a couple of thing that could make things a little complicated...
are there free available ac3 decoders without licence issues? I would guess so, as some freeware apps are able to decode ac3.
is downsapling required? this is maybe a little problem, as the CD standard is 44.1kHz?

any comments on this?

@Gambit: it seems that this is not the best time to approach you with such a 'request' but the idea just occured to me and so I post it anyway.
if you ever feel like working on this (and if it's possible witout too much work) it would be great nevertheless smile.gif
Gambit
I'll put it on my todo list. I want to add resampling support anyway, so that's not the problem. But all the bigger changes I want to make require a lot of code rewrite. I started to rewrite it once already, but then I realized that my new code sucks and it won't actually solve anything, so now I have to do it again, all from scratch. Yada, yada, anyway, 1.13 is ready, that's a matter of days, I'm just waiting for the server move. I also wanted to finish the new page design first too, but I suck at that, so I'll do it later. I would ask for help with the page redesigning, but seeing how the WavPack page moves (not) along, I rather won't.

Sounds good Gambit, I'm glad to see development isn't dead. Burrrn is still one of my favorite apps.

Seems I finally fixed the P4 bug. If you wanna test:

Well, I finally got to test this on my friends PC (which was affected). Seems it's all OK now. Thanks! (R.T. - Hanging on the corner...)

Gambit,

I have this problem too (on a Pentuim 4 3GHz PC), but the link does not work. Could you make this version available again please.

Many thanks,

Since there is no reply let me address the wider community. Does anyone have Burrrn113Test.rar. If so could you upload it into the upload section of the forum. I would be very grateful. I never used this app and I really would like to try it. Again the stock latest binary does not seem to work on P4 PC-s.
