Hey there guys. Could someone give me a hand? I have an Audigy 2 soundcard and I wanted to know how (and if it is possible) to do Dolby Pro-Logic II processing on it. I know the soundcard is capable of such processing because I've already heard it, but only when using a Dolby Digital AC3 2.0 (stereo) source. Is there a way I can get the processing on my music? I use Foobar2k.

Thank you very much. wink.gif

I'd love that. There is no way that I know of to get 5.1 audio from foobar2000 (aside from the source file being 5.1). The Audigy built in upmixer isn't very impressive. cmss or whatever it is seems to only do 4 channel and doesn't really sound any better.

Exactely Duble. Thanks for your fast response. I managed to get what I wanted using Media Player Classic and the AC3Filter passthrough. The problem is that the filter would encode into AC3 stereo before sending it to the soundcard. That way I can get Dolby Pro-Logic II processing on my songs.

But I thought there was another, better way of doing so. I didn't like CMSS 3D either. sad.gif

Hi dudes!
I have a SoundBlaster Live 5.1 with Logitech Z-640 5.1 speakers, and I want to do Dolby Pro-Logic II to get sound in all the speakers with stereo sources (mostly music), and not just when I play 5.1 sources (mostly movies). I always had AC3Filter for decoding AC3 audio of my downloaded movies and DVDs, and then tried to do something like DPLII with it, activating auto matrix. But I don't think it sounds as great as on DPLII audio systems. Is this auto matrix option the same audio processing as DPLII? What's the better configuration for the matrix? I don't like that the rear speakers produces the same sound (a mix of L and R signals) and it ruins the L/R distribution.
Could anyone help me? I just want to do Dolby Pro-Logic II processing on my PC t get sound of all my speakers from stereo sources like from 5.1 sources.

There is a channel mixer plugin for foobar2000. I do not know about DPLII though.
