I need a way to connect my speakers (3.5mm), my headphones (hd-555 6.3mm) and my mic (3.5mm) to my chaintech av-710 and my headsave classic (RCA). I suppose I will need a kind of swithbox, perhaps it will have to be custom made. Anyone who could help? I do not need a volume button but I would like to be able to mute my speakers/mic and switch to my headphones (I can adjust the volume of my cans and mute them on my amp). Would I need high quality connections? Because I saw switchboxes that cost about 100$ and I can't imagine what's so special about it?

Conraed,

LORLIN had a build-your-own switch system. You select the poles & position wafers and assembled the unit. Ask for 'make before break' contacts. The contacts are silver, I have units 25+ yrs and still in use. The muting requirement can be achieved by wiring the switch.
