Hi!
I tried the search but looks like this issue was not discussed here before.
I want to replace my car's built in stereo with an aftermarket headunit and speakers. Since I don't know much about caraudio, I'm trying to study this area a little. I definitely need a headunit capable of mp3 playback, and there are plenty of those, but like one third of music in my pc in encoded in AAC. Do you happen to know of any headunit cabale of aac playback? I only found a panasonic and I noticed it's capability to play aac is not mentioned in descriptions and reviews (or maybe I just saw a mistake). are there other products that support the format but its just not widely known?

thanks a lot biggrin.gif

With so many containers floating around ( raw aac, mp4, drm etc ) it seems we will have to wait until it settles down before we see one.

Or we will have to wait for Apple's iCar ... tongue.gif

You can get a BWM with an iPod holder.

I should request one of those for testing, probably...

Cool ... is it linked to BMW's new Head-Up-Display ? This would be the ultimate automobile multi-media experience ... laugh.gif
