Full Version: How does APS's JS encoding mono?

Lets say the source was totally in mono. Since LAME's APS setting encodes Joint-Stereo how would the final stereo frames look on the mp3?

Would it be ALL 'mid-side' frames? Moreoever, if its just a few 'stereo' frames does that mean the source was definately stereo not mono?
