I have got a second hands Fujitsu Siemens Scenic D 815e computer for my birthday.
Where I want to make an audio server from.
The problem is that it only has low profile PCI slots.
So far I have only found one low profile card from audiotrack: MAYA 5.1 MKII
Any suggestion for a low profile PCI soundcard?

I built some low-profile PCI-slot using systems and one of them required a modem, for which nothing was available (at the time). I used the low-tech solution and bought a modem that would fir the low-profile slot but that didn't come with a low profile input plane. I used one of the low-profile slot covers from the case, and with a hacksaw and a metal file (a dremel would proabably work wonders as well) I cut out the telephone out and line inputs, removed the original metal part from the modem and then used some epoxy resin to bond it back to the now-officially low-profile part. It has worked perfectly.

In other words, if you could find a half-height pci card then you can probably make your own low-profile sound card.

My first post!
That's quite an approach there, but the Creative Ectiva 5.1 is a low profile card, found in asia for under US$25, and so is the ESS1938 SOLO-1. I'm using that right now, it works well, but doesn't have any DirectSound buffers. Everything is emulated in CPU. But it's half height, and...works.
ADD: The Maya 5.1 MKII is good. I suggest you get that instead of the Ectiva.
