While I was studying Excel for school I made a little workbook called .mp3 size, it calculates & compares space used by lossy, lossless & uncompressed & if you will have enough HDD space for your music collection in the 3 different formats.

That's a pretty nifty spreadsheet. What were your lossless approximations based on?

When we discussed his Excel spreadsheet last week (westgroveg sent me a pre-release version), I suggested he used around 55%, from eyeballing Hans Heidjen's lossless comparision graphics.

yeah, rjamorim & I agreed 776kbps was a good estimation so that's what I used.
